About KidsKare

KidsKare Front Picture

KidsKare has been providing a safe and loving environment for children since 1997. We are licensed by the State of Texas to keep 12 children, but we will maintain only 7-8 children with 2 adults supervising at any time. This is to provide more attention to younger kids while allowing older kids to explore their bounds.

KidsKare provides state-approved meal plans that include breakfast, 2 mid-day snacks, and lunch including milk & fruits. For infants, we use Enfamil Formula along with infant foods that provide a nourishing meal for their healthy growth.

In addition, diapers and wipes are conveniently provided by KidsKare.

ACTIVITIES

At KidsKare, children of varying ages enjoy activities suitable to their age.

  • Active indoor and outdoor play for all children
  • Table toys, blocks, crayons, etc...
  • Group story time
  • Sing-along songs
  • Many other activities to keep the children entertained.

Weather permitting, our kids enjoy outdoor activities in a large fenced backyard that includes a slide, tunnel, balls, etc.

SCHEDULE

Monday - Friday
7:45 am - 6:00 pm

KidsKare is closed on major National Holidays.  A list of holidays are published on an annual basis and provided to parents in January. We will also list these days on our online calendar for your convenience.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

I am looking forward to giving your family the highest quality of childcare available.  I will strive to provide you with peace of mind that your child’s individual needs are being met.  My goal is to provide an environment rich for learning, as well as, help build each child’s self esteem by giving them positive motivation and lots of love.  I will provide your child with the opportunity for development, socially, emotionally, and creatively.

Naps and Rest Times
If your child sleeps with a blanket or a favorite soft toy, they are welcome to bring them along.  Children will not be put to bed with a bottle.  If the child is tired he/she will not be kept awake for parent’s convenience.

Infants will nap 2 - 3 times a day (and sometimes more) on their own schedules, which will change as they grow.  Toddlers may take 1 - 2 naps each day.  Like infants, their sleep demands will change over time and may even increase and decrease at different times.  It’s helpful to learn the sleep schedule for each infant and then plan active and messy activities that most need my supervision when the infants are sleeping.

OUR POLICIES

Enrollment / Payment
KidsKare's in-home childcare hours are Monday - Friday  7:45 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Three or more days are considered a full week and will be charged the weekly rate.  All fees are due on Friday for the following week or no later than Monday (of the current week).  If you are aware that your child will be absent on Friday, please make sure your payment is made on Thursday or no later than Monday of the current week. Checks are accepted.  There will be a $25.00 fee charge on any returned checks from the bank.  Parents will also be responsible for all fees related to returned checks that the provider incurs.  Please do not ask me to hold checks.

Termination Procedure
The first thirty (30) days of care are probationary for parent, child and provider.  We will use this time to become more familiar and comfortable with one another, to feel things out.  If things do not work out, this agreement may be terminated at any time during this period by either party.  Otherwise, either parent or I must give written notice three weeks for one child or four weeks for two children in care in advance of ending date.

I will cancel the agreement without notice under certain circumstances; if the parent does not make payment when due, if child requires more care or attention than I’m able to give, or if I do not receive proper cooperation from the parents concerning the child’s needs.

General Information

Please let me know if your child will not be in attendance for the day or if he/she will be arriving late or leaving early.

Please let me know if you want to discuss something which has taken place at the daycare, something that you would like to see take place at our facility or if you would just like to discuss your child.  I will gladly set aside some time to meet with you.

Paid Holidays & Day Care Closings:  A schedule is issued every January for the entire year.

Parent Responsibilities
I must get certain information and records from parents to ensure the child’s health and safety.
Please make sure I keep a current copy of your child’s immunization record on file.  Please complete an enrollment form that includes basic information about your child; telephone numbers where you can be reached during the day and authorization for emergency care for your child.

Inform me about any special concerns or needs, including allergies, medical history and current medications.

Please note that your child will only be released to persons other than parents with prearrangements made between parent and me.  Inform me in writing about who is permitted to take your child from the in-home care.  Identification MUST be shown before I release a child to an adult other than the parent.
